BICC Studentships Minimize

As part of its grant, BICC will offer, over its 5-year lifetime, 25 postgraduate studentships for Home and EU students covering fees and maintenance (where residency eligibility criteria are met). These studentships range from funding for 1 year Masters courses to funding for 5 years of study including both Masters and doctoral components. The studentships are split between the 3 universities, with 10 based at Oxford, 8 at Manchester, and 7 at Bristol.

BICC offers 2 types of studentship, open, which are designed to relate to any area of Chinese Studies for which our centres can provide suitable supervision, provided that they incorporate a substantial amount of study of materials in the original language. Other studentships will be in broadly defined areas, designed to promote research in specific fields of Chinese Studies that match the specialisms of the 3 partner institutions. Studentships are advertised in early December each year on this website as well as through jobs.ac.uk and the British Association for Chinese Studies, and details posted will make clear the exact details of the studentships being offered in a particular year.

This area of the site contains the homepages for all BICC's current students. Browsing through them will give you an idea of the breadth of work that BICC supports.
